What Is the Subtle Body?

by | Jun 9, 2026 | Medical Intuition & the Mind-Body Connection

The Liminalis Method™ is founded upon a simple principle:

Human beings are more than physical bodies.

Alongside the physical body exists an energetic dimension known as the Subtle Body.

The Subtle Body consists of Subtle Body Energy — the life energy that supports awareness, perception, adaptation, healing, and transformation.

From the perspective of the Liminalis Method™, this energy begins connecting with the individual during conception, continues integrating throughout pregnancy and birth, and remains present throughout life.

At death, the Subtle Body Energy separates from the physical body.

Health depends not only upon the condition of the physical body but also upon the movement and organisation of Subtle Body Energy.

Energy and Health

The physical body and the Subtle Body are deeply interconnected.

When Subtle Body Energy flows freely, people often experience vitality, emotional balance, mental clarity, resilience, and wellbeing.

The nervous system regulates more effectively.

Emotions can move and integrate naturally.

The body adapts more easily to life’s challenges.

From the perspective of the Liminalis Method™, health reflects the harmonious relationship between the physical body, emotions, awareness, the nervous system, and the flow of Subtle Body Energy.

How Energy Becomes Frozen

Life inevitably presents challenges.

Stress.

Loss.

Trauma.

Grief.

Fear.

Overwhelm.

Some life experiences are integrated naturally.

Others overwhelm our ability to cope.

When this happens, Subtle Body Energy may become frozen.

Originally, this frozen energy serves a protective purpose and helps the individual adapt.

However, over time it can become like faulty programming within the body–mind system.

The nervous system, emotions, behaviours, and energy continue responding to old conditions rather than present reality.

What once protected the individual may now contribute to suffering, imbalance, and illness.

Frozen States and Illness

Within the Liminalis Method™, these patterns are known as Frozen States.

A Frozen State is a protective pattern of energy, emotion, perception, or behaviour that once helped a person adapt but now limits healing, growth, and transformation.

As Frozen States accumulate, they may influence how energy flows, how emotions are processed, and how the body responds to stress.

From this perspective, illness is not simply a physical problem.

It may also reflect patterns held within the Subtle Body.

Perceiving the Subtle Body

The Subtle Body cannot be understood through physical observation alone.

Developing awareness of Subtle Body Energy requires attention, self-observation, and sensitivity to the body’s internal experience.

Within the Liminalis Method™, students learn practical methods for recognising energetic patterns, Frozen States, and areas where energy may have become restricted.

Remote Viewing plays an important role in this process.

Within the Academy, Remote Viewing is used as a method for perceiving Subtle Body Energy and recognising energetic patterns that may not be immediately visible through ordinary observation.

By developing a calm mind and focused attention, practitioners learn to perceive subtle information with greater clarity and accuracy.

Healing Through Integration

Healing does not occur by forcing change.

Healing occurs when the body–mind system feels safe enough to reorganise itself.

Within the Liminalis Method™, healing involves recognising Frozen States, stabilising the nervous system, supporting energetic reorganisation, and integrating previously disconnected experiences.

As Frozen Energy begins to move, old patterns gradually loosen and new possibilities emerge.

What was once frozen can begin to flow again.

A Different View of Healing

The Subtle Body invites us to see health and illness through a broader lens.

Within the Liminalis Method™, healing is understood as the restoration of flow.

As Subtle Body Energy becomes organised, integrated, and free to move once again, the individual gains access to greater vitality, resilience, awareness, and wellbeing.

Healing becomes not only the relief of symptoms but also a process of transformation and a return to wholeness.
