One question people often ask me during my workshops and healing sessions is how to find their Purpose in Life. They wonder how to know if they are on the right path and what truly belongs to them. They ask, for instance, what job suits them, what partner is right for them, and how to discover these answers.
Here’s a clue about finding your right path, which I learned from Caroline Myss, one of the most profound medical intuitives I know.
She said: “You know you are on the right path when you are not put in a position to betray yourself. You don’t betray yourself anymore. You are not put in a position where you have to negotiate your sense of integrity, your heart, and your honor, which is an act of betrayal. You don’t feel that you must compromise who you are. It feels right.”When you are on the right pass, you start to feel congruent with who you really are. It is like what you feel, what you say, and what you do are the same and whole. You feel good and you are not losing your energy anymore. You may be tired at the end of the day, but you know it isn’t costing you your power, your heart, or your soul. You are not confused anymore. You have clarity, certainty, and grounding deep within yourself. You don’t feel like you are losing life, losing yourself, or betraying yourself. Life purpose doesn’t have to be something grand. It’s a mistake to think that life purpose should be something huge like creating a big business, writing a successful book, or becoming famous. It can be something simple, like being a good mother or a good friend, experiencing joy daily, and sharing your joy with others. It can be becoming good at what you do for a living, whether it’s your job or your hobby. It can be anything that drives you and brings meaning to your life.
